k is in love with baby cate. Its adorable.
So she is here. 8:44 yesterday morning. 7lbs 8oz.19 in long., I'll post a very dramatic birth story. I have long said that all the woes of pregnancy were worth it.....and that even includes the c section I ended up with...without pain meds.
I gotta go. This ruddy haired little girl is looking at my boobs.

Congratulations and a huge welcome to Cate!
I'm sure she has no idea how many of us have waited for her safe arrival and what a celebrated wee one she is xx

Congratulations!!
I had an emergency C-Section with my son (scheduled C with my daughter). I must say that the emergency C-Section wipes you out! But the end results are grand!
Can't wait to hear your birth story.

Are you guys OK?

I had a water birth with my first daughter and an unplanned c-section with my section (as well as unplanned H.E.L.L.P. Syndrome!)
I thought a c-section would be the worst, but the recovery was actually easier. I hope you find that to be true as well. Now, six months later, I'm finally somewhat over the radical change in plans. But don't negate your feelings about what happened like I did. It's important to work through it.
Congratulations to you and your fam! I bet she's gorgeous!

Ah, my c-section sister-in-arms. I'm so glad to hear that you posted your update and that Cate is here.
Yes, drink LOTS of water. Your ankles will SWELL like you would not believe around Day 3-4. The high water consumption (counter-intuitive, I know) will help flush that out.
Also, you will need stool softener for about 2 weeks. (I never found out WHY a woman would develop a problem in THAT department, since it's a whole OTHER department.)
