so lightening does strike twice.
so, last night the two couples (the men came too-i LOVE my liberal town) who were kind enough to offer to share their nanny with us came over. which meant they walked across the street.
i have won a second lottery. listen to our now planned childcare-eight weeks of me, k or family keeping her. i will still go back part-time after three weeks at least 3 days in the morning (if i have to (don't throw me in that brier patch!) i will wear her and buy a portable crib for the office. and work a bit when i come home. but then. but then.
i will work 9-1 five days a week. for six months. part time. six months.
-the best of this
six months part time.
k will actually keep her one day a week for the full day most of the time.
she will be kept in my house or the house across the street. she will only rarely be in a car.
the nanny will only be watching one other child.
the nanny teaches them sign language in english and spanish.
we had budgeted for $2,000 a month for childcare costs-for worst case scenario.
we will only pay $500. yep, $500.
this is just so good to be true. you know, for the first time in my life, i've considered playing the lottery, because i clearly have some freakin' good luck. (though i am now increasingly worried that this is just too good to be true.)

anon,hammi, word police, friend.
i didn't mean anything, really. i just i was about to write a long and winding post.
i wish i knew how to widen the space, maybe that would make it easier.
and you've made me think that all no caps may be too much?
i am glad you're here. and i really do appreciate the feedback. i said so.

Hey folks, personal attacks aren't cool or helpful.
To the author, I ofen read your blog late at night after a long, long day and honestly, it's just really really difficult to follow sometimes due to format. Thought you'd appreciate the feedback.
On more than one occasion I've had to read parts of your writing a few times to make sure I was getting the gist.
i totally understand the freedom of writing with no caps or punctuation - you'd laugh if you knew what i do for a living but believe me, i write the same way too when time is my enemy...i so get that. i do.
It MIGHT be the narrow margin down the centre that throws me off.
Don't let it stop you. I won't dare add my two cents again.
My name is Hammi but I simply didn't have the energy to enter it, nor did I expect anyone to care.
But from now one I think I prefer my new name...Word Police. :)
P.S. I noticed you started your last post with a note directed at me. Not sure what you are implying. I'll continue to read your story and wish you the best.

anon, why not say who you are? you really don't say anything unkind. i could write more clearly and follow all grammer.but i do that all day as an attorney. i have to proof every document numerous times and it's exhausting.
i blog like i do because i like it. i think no caps looks neat. and i LOVE that i don't have to use complete sentences in blogland. Seriously.It.Rocks. and there are almost always typos in my blogs-because i simply do not have the time to blog. and were i to make it perfect everytime-i would never have time to post. or comment for that matter.
however, i think i agree with you that perhaps i use too many parenthesis on occasion. though, i didn't on this post.
ultimately, i appreciate your reading, but if you can't follow it, i'll survive.
take care.

YES ANON, I see all my typos in the post I just made too! It is ok, the world isn't going to fall apart....

Anon, who are you, the word police? If you cannot understand or comprehend her writing, then don't read it. She has more education in her pinky, then you have in that brain you speak of......... Christina, I am sorry if I stepped out of line by telling her my two cents, but crap like that pisses me off. I am happy for you guys, I hope you many more blessings to come!

may the great news keep on coming!

Let me start by saying that I, for one, like your writing style and have no problem following it.
It's so refreshing to know that you are getting the childcare question sorted out. AND if it works out exactly like you say, then it'll just be so super-duper perfect.

Hey there, that is great news.
I've been trying to follow your blog for a bit, however it's very difficult to read. I'm not sure if you realize it or not.
for example, the no punctuation and long sentences (and extra thoughts in parenthesis) and frequently incomplete sentences are hard on my brain.
I'd like to continue to follow your story, but your writing style is seriously throwing me off.
Have you considered changing your writing style to include caps and punctuation?

Wow! That sounds like an amazing arrangement! And yes, perhaps you should play the lottery, but remember all of us little blog-friends when you hit the bigtime, m'kay?
I am working towards this larger educational goal so that hopefully when we win that baby-lottery, I can have something that brushes the edges of the kind of flexibility you have. Lucky lady, you!

Holy Cow! That is freaking awesome! So jealous...but happy for you.

Snazy!
Good nanny is a great thing. We hope to get Monkey's back, and live in fear that she won't be available (it looks good so far). I am glad it fell into place for you.
